"New Jersey Jets"and "New Jersey Giants "even sounds better to say but...no go. This speaks of the clout of having big metro New York branded or associated with entities, products and things instead of "little known NJ" which seems to always have to fight for respect.
We lived close to New Jersey. My family and I would take the Ferry in Chester and travel by car to Margate every summer when I was a child. I loved Margate and seeing Lucy, the elephant!
So why aren't they the New Jersey Jets and New Jersey Giants, then?
