W aiting to be seen and not be judged harshly
E ver weary of being solely called “Virginia”
S ick of being personified by silly stereotypes
T ired of being picked on like a scab
V enerated should be the Mountain State for
I ronclad devotion to God and country;
R ichness, human and topographic wise;
G orgeous nature and gregarious persona;
I ndependence as her own entity—
N ot southern, not northern, nor mid-western she is
I gnore her negative detractors
A t least show her some love!
