Waxing on Celebrities

We prefer wax museum version of celebrities
better than phony ones in the flesh.
No chance they will disappoint us
nor fall short of expectations.
Snap, snap away— they'll give us the time of the day
for selfies- and won't snap back at us
with pompous attitude.
Some real phony ones in the flesh
would rather be their waxed likeness
from Ripley's and Madame Tussauds.
That way, they’d be glamorously
featured and forever immortalized,
get such clamorous adulation
and feel absolutely nothing
while looking stunningly perfect all the time.
