Vice, Vice, baby!
Incessant slot, slut, gut and glut temptation
Veer off the Strip, it can all go away
Albeit town outskirts also dangle sin-sation
Lights so bright here, even visible from space
Apparent also in town is distinct dichotomy
Such a hotspot that can leave you cold
Venues here, equally the classiest and trashiest
Erotic and Heritage come together, in a museum
Glam and grim simultaneously paint the town
Affluence and destitution both stark, off the charts
Strangest town ever that has become oh so familiar

Vegas PROS: never boring, wide of array of world renown live entertainment , dynamic city, becoming a great food destination, my Raiders are in town :-), attractive Lake Las Vegas area, outdoor activities to do, fairly affordable off the Strip for everyday life

Vegas CONS: too much traffic and construction projects; summer scorching heat can be too much; typical crime issues, ugly spots in town; sense of history in town is lacking (fairly new structures get demolished fast, relatively); noise pollution; overwhelming feeling from its abundance of things to do/places to see, not a place for vice control

TRAVEL NOTES:

  • Support Marinarena easily by travel booking directly here
GO City VEGAS - save $$$ on popular attractions with a city pass!

  • Experience “normal, everyday” Las Vegas by staying in a
suburb, such as Summerlin and Henderson. Accommodations
tend to be less expensive and you’ll experience less “craziness”

See Vegas area hotels via Booking.com

  • Try to avoid using the ATM. Strip area/in casino ATMs are quite
pricey. Have your bills in advance for tipping and purchases.

  • A no-brainer but if you must travel in summer,
pack a proper water bottle. It’s so easy to get dehydrated.

  • Wear the most comfy casual walking shoes. Especially for
typical Strip tourism, it’s best to walk venue to venue.

  • Pack your bathing suit! Take advantage of the amazing
pools and spas on the Strip, downtown and at various
    spots in the city.

  • There is plenty of betting advice out there (esp. slot wise) but I
have gathered from various sources that Circus Circus
and New York New York have the luckiest or loosest slots.
Also try Excalibur, which has been good to me:-)

  • Follow these ladies on YT for the latest in LV tips, sights,
happenings and reviews Travel Ruby Norma Geli

As Ruby points out, there is culture here beyond gambling and partying.

What all can you get in Las Vegas for $100? Norma will tell you…
(Bellagio Conservatory visit is my fave!)

  • Public transit is for the most part good through the city. Ride The Deuce
However, for venturing off the strip using is advantageous

Watch for Parking fees at major casino garages ($15+- per period)
