What’s going on: Spirit Airlines, known for its ultra low air fares and skimpy in-flight services, is struggling while in reconstruction (Chapter 11 bankruptcy). While the carrier is fighting to stay in operations, its potential flyers should be highly on alert for possible travel disruptions, flight changes and cancellations.
