Swimming Pool

Despite our long stream desire,

we have to contend

with this swimming pool-

and as rigid as it may be,

we swim.

Though it is the ocean we admire

and shall see in the end,

we will keep undulating in the cool,

collected waters feigning the sea—

but only in the interim.
