SPORTS MEDIA
 is a FEAST
that FEASTS on itself
It's getting depraved
All the while it feeds us
we are being deprived.
It's SICK.
We are getting SICK of it!
SPORTS MEDIA,
nowadays,
is an unsavory
cornucopia.
Corny dishesÂ
constantly served up
Hot takes on the plate
but hot messes... and cold junk too.
An assembly line comes at us
Dishes of regurgitated crap
with heapings of hubris slop.
Nothing of substance.
No good old fashioned
meat and potatoes of course—
that's what we really want.
But instead we get
plenty of phony baloneys on shticks,
lots of fake beef and cheesy bits,
stale and boring mixed journo-salad
full of shredded iceburg lettuce emptiness,
that no one cares for.
Are you kidding me with all this?
hmm .. have my own concerns re ‘Sports Media’ as a male parent & grandparent. Have some advantage right there - as male viewer - but my Love is almost a sports junkie per Hockey Baseball Football - while I’ve not only participated at amateur & pro levels - multi sport - but have also shot produced directed written edited at amateur & pro levels - both male & female athletics
Bottom line - I deplore, nay rage as Gambling pervades Athletics
Perhaps you’ll explain the personal perspectives behind your poem .. that would be very cool !
