S aw Heath Ledger here once
A t 3rd Street Promenade.
N o one recognized him
T hough I did right away
A t a time he wasn't A-List famous.
M ixed in well with the crowd
O f tourists and locals alike
N o picture, no autograph I sought
I t would have been too much
C alling such attention to him. I know
A ll too well — i'm the same way
Backstory: I really did spot him out in the crowd. I can’t remember the exact date but it was sometime before his breakout role in Brokeback Mountain (2005).
