Repost from ‘23 post
serves as a good follow-up from last poem, Washington, DC
It’s the worst pie ever.
It leaves one with a sour and bitter taste.
It’s unsweetened but baked with poison berries,
burnt at the bottom
and luscious in lies—
yet, it's the daily feature
always being suggested at the table!
"No- no, thank you"
Keep passing it up.
Commentary:
In reflecting on “P.I.E” and the un-tasty feeling of politics that it brings up,the desire for real scrumptious pie, in contrast, grows!

Have some coffee fuel with pie while substacking!
Consider my favorite, Coffee Brand Coffee. My sincere pitch here.
Something to appreciate here: CBC doesn’t link itself to politics, unlike
other brands. Refreshing!

Awesome poem, Marinarena.
It feels like I’m recent years politics has seeped into more and more areas of life.
