ABOUT ORANGE COUNTY
(SOME FACTS & CULTURE NOTES)
O.C. is a sprawling area, composed of 34 incorporated cities.
3 mil in population- the biggest of all the Orange counties by far in America.
There is over 40 miles of coastline- most of it is gorgeous!
The cradle of Orange County is Old Towne Orange, a cherished community that I had
the pleasure of exploring often while residing in O.C. Make it a plan to visit here for the Labor Day weekend extravaganza, Orange Interntional Street Fair.
Amusement park fun is not just at Disneyland. Enjoy beloved Knotts Berry Farm.
John Wayne Airport is way better than LAX. Use if going to Disneyland for sure. Easy in and out. Slightly expensive to fly out of here (generally) but worth the convenience and fare deals can be had.
ON (ETHNIC) DIVERSITY
There is distinct ethnic diversity in O.C. Not just a case of sterotypical white/Causasian as often portrayed in media. MOST NOTABLY … Latinos of Mexican, Central American and other Hispanic designations are dominant (esp in the O.C. cities of Santa Ana, and Anaheim). There various Asian ethnicities, including Korean, Chinese and Vietnamese the latter prominent esp in the cities of Westminster and Fountain Valley). Also There is a significant population of ethnic Persians, esp in Irvine.
OH AND…
Not just rich, snotty Housewives live here!
Not everyone is a surfer!

”For real(s)”- means “really”
“Catch you later” - instead of saying goodbye
“No worries” - “it’s okay”/”alright”
“Yeah, no” means “no”
“Like”- such an overused sentence word filler.
”Down”- feeling okay about something. I’m down for Chinese (food) tonight.
