I have been tossed aside
in his closet
way back in the corner
spiders have been having
their way with me since …many years
I have lost pieces of me
I can’t seem to put myself together
He lost the passion for me
but once upon a time
I was his treasure
I led him into different realms
I was his means of fun and exploration
I was his addiction
Now I realize that I was just being played
and was only the first in a line of boy toys

I'm guilty of giving inanimate objects emotions, they can be happy and sad, they can have strong feelings for you the owner, makes it difficult to discard them.
