Patience is a virtue to pack and practice as much as possible- in love and for public transportation….
I bare and grin it with you
like with public transportation
in Los Angeles,
patiently.
When I can reach you in the center
it is easy to connect—
as if arriving at Union Station.
When put on the edges,
that's when things get dicey.
I have to get my bearings straight
and find a way or three
back to the center, to your heart—
granted the huffing frustration
I'll go through.
COMMENTARY:
Actually, public transportation is Los Angeles (in deep city areas) isn’t as bad as it is so often exclaim with a strange glee and vigor. As a Metro L.A. riding pro, I dispelled this argument on many an occasion. I had used Metro buses and light rail on “suburban escapes for L.A. excursions”. The Metro system is quite expansive with over 160 routes. Of course, it can’t perfectly match the vastness of the entire Los Angeles metropolitan area— but it truly tries to. Light rail to LAX should be ready by 2025- fingers crossed!
With more progress on its expansion investment being realized, the Metro will get better for residents and vistors alike. Metro better get its act together for the football 2026 World Cup and 2028 Olympics games later this decade!

“Huffing frustration” — is perfect. It made me think of an old train letting out steam.
Great poem.
