I heart Henry Cavill.
You heart Henry Cavill—
but they hate him.
Well, we know the deal.
They, the Hollyweird herd…
They’re straight evil.
They play the part at will,
hiss at Henry
for being manly and “cis”…
Ugh… “cis”…
I hate that word.
You hate that word—
but they love to say it!
But enough of their
silly and sad sordidness…
We, The Cavillry,
love Henry more,
dote on him deeply,
drink him up as suckers
do and thirst him madly.
We marvel at his manly
pectorals and abdominals,
gaze into his gorgeous
lake blues with curious
brown-speckled
sectoral heterochromia
in his left iris;
adore him down to his freckled
lower lip, at which we pucker.
Oh, there is a plethora
we have come to adore
regarding Henry.
Those well-coiffed curls a plenty,
atop his chiseled visage—
oh, we’d love to massage!
And, oh, that charming British accent
from the isle of Jersey!
How we ladies lose it,
get weak in the knees
over this dashing man—
our favourite Clark Kent
aka Superman.
Thing about Henry most sexy—
he has that former fat kid humility.
Indeed, he's fine, knows it
but doesn’t flaunt it
And just as alluring—
he's a nerdy gent who gives a damn
and goes at character study,
fleshes his role out, capturing
every “beautiful bit”.
We love his quiet, private nature
All the more added to his intrigue
We’re gladly under his rapture—
even if out of his league.
Commentary of poem:
This is one of my “came out of nowhere one night” pieces. I had a “kind of” liking to Henry Cavill earlier but became more enamored by him this year when the “Cancel Culture Hollywood vulture” tried to dismiss him. What was his crime— being too manly “toxic” ? Not being woke enough for current Hollywood standards? Too authentic and popular with the normie crowd? Silly Hollyweird!
So, in modern-day cool kid lingo, I call this my “thirst piece” on Henry. Of course, I am careful to not get ga-ga over him nor any celebrity, so as to not fall in the trap of celeb idolatry.
