Equity and Equality
Poem (audio)
These two are not the same.
“Equity” is the new kid on the block
getting all this love and attention—
despite not being long acclimated.
No matter though.
Everyone’s supposed to
be smitten by Equity right away.
Meanwhile, “Equality”, who’s been around
isn’t feeling the love at all lately,
is being dismissed and quite pissed upon.
Some questions eating at Equality:
“What ever happened to people’s loyalty?”
and “Why have I been pushed to the sidelines?”
