In their comfy cruise control lives,
they are asleep at the wheel.
So many of us are honking the horn
in a great cacophony—
but it is largely ignored.

They make the greater noise,
that blatant one of silence
that yields violence.
They kill us and themselves daily

and don’t even bat an eye.
