T arheels state’s got it goin’ on!

C an’t kept this place a secret but for so lon’

A ll sorts of folks are comin’ here — and stayin’

R eckon not ‘cause of great nature and cities alone

O utlook in jobs and housing, affordability

L ots of southern charm and hospitality

I ndeed, better life quality

N ot to mention the best finger lickin’ BBQ

A ttract and keep folks for good

N ifty place for inventions and firsts

O veralls, mini golf... first conceived here

R elief in Vicks Vapor rub form,

T hirst quenched from a Pepsi,

H appened here first in the Tarheel State.



C heerwine, Krispy Kreme, Bojangles fried chicken

A ll were served up here first, to great delight

R ight here too... advent of control-alt-delete; where

O rville and Wilbur Wright, legends of flight

L aunched the first successful airplane...

I nitially here too, "Babe Ruth" was named

N BA global icon, Michael Jordan made a name

A bove all, NC's greatest first ...

U niting together as a colony for eventual

S tatehood- declaring independence from Britain

A gainst empirical authority
